Bridal - Final Alterations

About our Final Alteration Process:

We charge a flat fee for standard alterations; This includes standard sizing changes of up to 2 sizes, along with shortening your hemline, to give your dress a tailored fit.

Custom additions or modifications - I.e. bustles, straps, embellishments and alterations outside of the standard 2 sizes are not included but can be quoted during your first consultation. Please bring these up with the seamstress during your first appointment if required.

Seamstress appointments are available and allocated on Friday mornings and last no more than 20 minutes. You may bring one additional person with you if you wish. Please be aware other brides will be booked in around your time allocation. 

Payment is kindly in CASH at your first fitting. 

Please understand that these are your final fittings and are designed to achieve the perfect fit once, over 2–3 appointments. Weight fluctuations that require repeated alterations will result in additional charges and may delay your dress.

For all fittings, bring the shoes and underwear you’ll wear on your wedding day so we can achieve the most accurate fit and hem.

As your dress is ordered to the measurements taken on the day of your appointment. Wedding dresses rarely fit perfectly straight from the outset, which is why our tailoring service ensures your dress can be adjusted to fit beautifully for your special day. If your measurements change after ordering, we’ll guide you through the best way to achieve a perfect fit

To ensure the perfect fit and a seamless experience, we kindly ask that you wait to try on your dress until your scheduled seamstress appointment, once it has arrived in the showroom. This allows any necessary alterations to be addressed with care, giving you complete peace of mind from the start of your tailoring journey — it’s normal for the first fit to feel loose or different.

If you wish to order any of our accessories to go with your dress, please arrange a separate accessory appointment, our seamstress service is solely focussed on, and time allocated to, altering your gown for the tailored look; brides will be booked in directly after you. 

Finally, as cleaning services are not included, please avoid make-up and faux tan during your final fittings.
